Healthy Acadia – Opioid Overdose Reversal, Naloxone Administration Training

Healthy Acadia, in partnership with Health Equity Alliance, and Deer Isle Stonington Adult Education, and will offer a free Naloxone Overdose Reversal Training on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, at the 251 North Deer Isle Rd, Deer Isle.
Participants will learn how to identify and respond to an opioid overdose and how to administer the medication, Naloxone, which temporarily reverses an opioid overdose. Attendees will also gain new tools and learn about community resources available to assist people in all stages of addiction and recovery. Free take home naloxone kits will be available to participants upon completion of the session.
This training is recommended for those who are likely to experience or witness an opioid overdose, including those who work or live with people at risk of overdosing.
